LCC vs Presidents XI 1993

By 1993, John Barnes had taken over from Dave Gurnett as President. Like Dave, he was still playing at the time, and he "poached" Steve Martin and Jerry Woodford for his side, as well as himself, his son "Digger", and former LCC players Dick Hodges, Matthew Hodges and Dan Hartley.

John was away in Zambia on the day of the match, so Steve took over as Team Secretary and Captain. There was a fair chance that Steve would have to drop out too, since Viv was expecting and the due date was two days before the game. In the event, Joshua didn't turn up until a week later.

LCC made 160-8 (T Turk 55*, L Turk 34, Fox 3-24); President's XI 163-6 (P Martin 83, Greene 5-42). Scorecard.
